This question depends on what you mean by free. Many RPG games may cost 30-50 dollars or more, and then there is the expansions to pay for! But if you divide the cost into the hundreds or thousands of hours play you will get then the cost is actually negligible… if not damn near free! In addition after you have played the game quest that comes with the PC game you can sign up for many MMORPG sites or persistant worlds that are free. Some require a subscription but many are totally free.
